Before electricity, these dishes held oil-soaked wicks that were lit to illuminate rooms.
The smooth glaze contrasts beautifully with its naturally rough spots,
and despite its small size, it feels pleasantly heavy in hand.

Once a vessel for lighting flames,
now transformed into a tool for kindling fragrance.
