Beautiful White Porcelain from the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1910)

This is a toksal—a traditional mold used for making rice cakes (mochi).
Since ancient times, eating mochi symbolized receiving good fortune,
and these molds were used during auspicious celebrations.

Porcelain toksal were highly valued and carefully preserved in royal palaces and courts.
Its warm appeal comes from the textured linear patterns and rich form,
which captivate the eye and heart.

Though it has some minor chips, it remains in good condition.
